We start our route inside the Alcornocales Natural Park on the old Facinas to Los Barrios road. We turn off on to a footpath and commence our route.

The greatest attraction of this route is the luxuriant forest of gall-oaks in an area where the cork-oak dominates and the beautiful stream where it finishes. The abundance of water, gentle temperatures, moderate sun and the type of soil have made possible this gall-oak forest which is in stark contrast to the alders that line the course of the stream.

The fauna that inhabits these streams in the park includes dippers, kingfishers and sand martins. We will delight in shady and exuberant scenery, cool in the summer. The sound of flowing water will accompany us during the whole walk.
