| This is an impressive route, one of the most beautiful in the province of Cádiz. We cycle through part of the Alcornocales Natural Park, crossing beautiful forests of cork-oaks along the hillsides of the Sierra del Aljibe. Through out the ride there are great views of the south of the province all the way to the sea. |

| Our route commences in the recreational area of El Picacho, from which we set out along a military dirt track with no traffic and after the first five kilometres of gentle uphill we continue along level paths or with very slight inclines. The last ten kilometres of downhill take us to the Jerez-Los Barrios road beside the Barbate Reservoir. |

| This offers a different way to enter and see Los Alcornocales, the biggest Mediterranean forest in Europe. Cycling in this environment is an unforgettable experience which you will want to repeat. |
